Free resources for businesses in return for supporting the NHS

In a bid to boost support for NHS Charities, we have made available, free of charge, a wide range of resources to support businesses, including guidance on implementing the UK Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS).

Our legal specialists have produced both guidance and, more importantly, template documents to allow businesses to access the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme whilst complying with employment law. These are available now on the website of their group business, Primed. In return, those downloading the documents are encouraged to make a donation to the NHS Charities COVID-19 Urgent Appeal.

In addition, we plan to provide more templates, letters and guidance as the employment arrangements for the crisis unfold – all for free. These will be provided alongside a range of other resources, through our Primed Online subscription service, which will be offered free of charge until June.

As leading experts in employment law and HR, we have seen a great deal of anxiety and uncertainty from businesses in how to manage the current situation. In particular, confusion over how to furlough employees and what happens after you have done so, including recalling from furlough and how to deal with holidays.

As well as supporting businesses early on in the COVID-19 crisis with free guidance on business continuity planning, we have summarised the Government information into easy to understand, practical advice for businesses. We are also providing template letters for employers have or, who plan to, furlough employees, to help them ensure they comply with employment law in doing so, even where they may have already taken these steps.

CEO, Jonathan Gauton says “Whilst this pandemic will continue to have a huge impact on us all, we know this is a time we need to come together and support each other where we can. We hope our resources will come as a welcome relief to businesses who are facing the need to implement the Government’s scheme and deal with the ongoing issues it will raise. In making these resources available, we hope to help avoid redundancies – and just as importantly, help try and raise funds for the vital services being provided by the NHS.”
