Outset advises on acquisition of Six Two by Branscombe Group
Outset are pleased to have advised Six Two, a web design, development and optimisation agency based in Ashford, Kent on their sale to Branscombe Group, a private, family owned media company.
Corporate lawyer Jonathan Williamson advised Six Two founders Aaron Taylor and Helen Fairley on the sale with support from Ollie Coekin. Aaron and Helen will continue to lead the business.
Branscombe Group unite great media businesses and support their growth ambitions. Six Two join the group’s two other PR and Communications business – Houston and McOnie.
The acquisition will give Six Two the opportunity for expansion and investment, allowing them to provide a broader range of marketing and communications services to clients.
The team worked in partnership with Colin Harvey at Succession Strategies.
Jonathan Williamson, Outset Corporate lawyer said:
“We wish Branscombe Group and SixTwo every success for the future. Helen and Aaron had done a great job in building a successful business and we were delighted to help them achieve the next step in their plans for growth.”
Helen Fairley, Six Two Co-founder said
“We’re thrilled to join the Branscombe Group. We’ve created one of the best digital agencies in Kent over the past decade, empowering our clients and helping them to do more with their websites than they thought possible, so we’re excited to accelerate our growth and deliver on a local, regional and national scale.
I’m also particularly looking forward to working with our new sister agencies, Houston and McOnie, with whom we share a very similar culture and set of values. This will broaden our own knowledge and expertise and take what we can offer to our clients to a new level.
We were very pleased with Jonathan's help and advice throughout what could have been a complex process. This is the first time we've gone through a corporate sale, and there's a lot of nuance and legalese which is inevitable. Having Jonathan to guide us through, explain what everything meant and highlight the things that really mattered was invaluable.
We had a fairly tight timeline for completing but this wasn't a problem, and Jonathan worked hard to ensure we could hit out dates, even working throughout the evening of completion until 9pm. Very happy to recommend."
Peter Tracey, Founder of Branscombe Group said
“I am delighted to welcome Six Two to the Branscombe family. Six Two’s capabilities are beyond doubt and from the moment we met them, we were impressed with their focus on delivering a fantastic customer experience and their passion for empowering their customers in the world of website technology. This ethos is shared across the team, and it is reflected in their financial performance.
Branscombe’s vision is to build a Group which unites experts dedicated to delivering exceptional client service and staff wellbeing, sharing our family values. Through this simple approach, we focus on achieving sustainable long-term growth.”
This acquisition was part of the team’s busy month of transactions in September and follows their ranking in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners legal directories, recognising their quality of work.
