When away from work, what do you enjoy doing?

When away from the office my time is spent being a busy mum for 3 small children. Hobbies and relaxation are now very different to what they used to be but I take my pleasures from spending time with my family, going on long country walks, trips to the beach and generally having fun with them.

We love to get away when we can and explore different cultures, especially cycling in France. I am a keen cook and love to try new recipes and experiment with my own. I also like to encourage the children to cook as much as possible too.

At the end of a hectic day when the children are asleep and the chores are done, there is nothing nicer than sharing a good meal, bottle of wine and a box set and re-charge ready for the next day! I also love going to the theatre and live music events when I can.

What is your favourite book or movie?

Lewis Carroll, Alices Adventures in Wonderland, the first novel I was given as a child (and still have it). I love the unpredictability.

Describe an interesting fact about yourself?

I was so lucky to attend a number of sporting events during the London 2012 Olympics and witnessed 'Super Saturday' in the Olympic Stadium seeing Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah and Greg Rutherford all win gold for Team GB. It was truly proud and inspirational day and one that I will always relay to my children as an 'I was there' moment.

When you were a child what did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be a Vet, until I realised that it wasn't all kittens and puppies and that I would need a strong stomach and emotional detachment!
