What Dave says about himself

We showcase a member of our team each week on our LinkedIn page. We ask them 10 questions about their inspirations, challenges of their job and their career journey.

You can read more about Dave here.

When away from work, what do you enjoy doing?

I share my spare time between my children and my partner, my growing list of DIY jobs (including those for other family members), taming my garden and fighting crime.

The last one isn’t true but it made me sound more interesting.

I like to explore new places in the UK and abroad. I have a new found love for adrenaline inducing activities having recently flown a microlight, flown down a 100 mph zip wire, cliff diving and jumped out of a perfectly good airplane at 12,000 feet.

What is your favourite book or movie?

I’m more a film buff than book worm really. I don’t have one standout favourite movie though. It all depends on what I’m in the mood for, however Shawshank Redemption, Star Wars (most of them anyway), The Usual Suspects, The Matrix and Gladiator - to name a few - are rated fairly highly.

Describe an interesting fact about yourself?

Still working on this.

When you were a child what did you want to be when you grew up?

This varied. From a reasonably sensible Computer Engineer to an Astronaut or professional footballer. Nothing HR or Employment Law related entered my thoughts until I was in my twenties.
