In 2012 Don took the decision to train as an asbestos Surveyor where he worked on projects relating to everything from housing stock to large military establishments, industrial sites and commercial premises.
Since then, having realised that he wished to pursue a career in Health and Safety he joined UKHSE in April 2016 gaining his FPA fire risk assessment qualification and also the CITB SMSTS Site Manager’s qualification.
He will commence his NEBOSH General Certificate in September 2016, so that he joins the multi-disciplinary team at UKHSE.
On a personal note, Don also spent 10 years with the RNLI as a volunteer crewman and after 5 years became a helmsman.
When I’m not at work and not to tired, I like to go for a ride on my bike as where I live backs on to a nature reserve which has designated paths to ride, I would also like pick up my hobby of photography again in the near future.
