Neil MacPhail

Neil joined Outset Group’s Safety business UKHSE in May 2022 as a Radiation Protection Adviser.

Joining the Royal Navy in 1986 at the age of 17 as a Medical Assistant, Neil served for 29 years, 27 of those in the Submarine Service. Roles included medical, training and sea going activities with his final appointment from 2012 to 2015 being the Radiation Protection Adviser to the Fleet Commander.

On leaving the service in 2015 Neil joined Rolls-Royce Submarines Ltd as a Radiation Protection Adviser and was promoted to Head of Radiation Protection in 2020. His role in UKHSE is to help to ensure that clients working with Ionising Radiations do so safely and legally.
