When away from work my main enjoyment is sports and a lot of it. I love watching and playing a variety of sport, but mainly football and cricket. I try to keep fit by playing 5-a-side football and have developed a keen interest in boxing. But staying true my roots, which lie in a country renowned for fishing, the quintessential Bangladeshi in me loves to fish in the summer as a pastime with my father, down at Dover pier.
My favourite movie is the Law Abiding Citizen and my favourite book is Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol.
I’m multilingual and can fluently speak and understand four languages, of which two (Hindi and Urdu) I have learnt without any formal teaching. I achieved this through watching international television and meeting and speaking to people who have Hindi or Urdu as their native/mother tongue.
A doctor – until I realised I was quite squeamish when it came to injections and blood.
